Amanda holds her BSc. in Biology and B.A. in Anthropology. She is currently in her final year of her master’s degree in the Department of Human Genetics at McGill University and is an intern at the Centre of Genomics and Policy. She is currently working in the lab of Dr. Aimee Ryan, where her master’s thesis focuses on Neural Tube Defects. At the CGP, her project focuses on conducting research on the legal and ethical aspects of web portals, which will aid in the creation of a portal for Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML), where validated data will be presented in a user-friendly format to patients, clinicians, and researchers.
